With the state allowing citizens to carry firearms concealed, the real issue, as I see it, is the quality of training and practice after receiving the permit.

Having taught Police Science at the local police academy, I believe anyone interested in a concealed carry permit should consider a NRA Basic Pistol Class...ONLY! While not a popular name to some, the NRA does set the highest standards and regulates those that teach for them.

Green Mountain Family Shooting Center is one of those NRA ranges where the highest standards are required. Women-only classes are also offered.

Be safe...train and practice.
