Blog Entry 4 of 154 Computing and you!
What's going on in computing, why it's important to master the productivity software on your computer and how to harness the power your computer provides you at work and in your home.

Desk organized? How about your computer?
Contributed by: John Scherer   on 7/21/2008

A few years ago a messy desk was the mark of a very disorganized person. Today there are a lot of clean desks. But the computers on top of them are cluttered beyond belief. And I'm not talking about those sticky notes plastered on the outside.

It's amazing just how cluttered a computer can be. E-mails and all sorts of documents are scattered all over the place. How many of you have spent a lot of time trying to find a document, or missed an important e-mail? And was that meeting with marketing this morning or this afternoon, today or tomorrow, or oops, maybe yesterday?

Wasted time seems so ironic when computers are supposed to make us more efficient.

Microsoft Outlook® is one of more popular selling programs, its' a powerful tool to manage your e-mails, prioritize them, file them and simply put, make you more productive instead of reactive. Manage your schedule, plan ahead and be one step ahead of the work day.

We all seem to being doing more with less time, so stay organized and on top of the pile, instead of the pile on top of you.
