Blog Entry 34 of 154 Computing and you!
What's going on in computing, why it's important to master the productivity software on your computer and how to harness the power your computer provides you at work and in your home.

PC's adding some Pizazz
Contributed by: John Scherer   on 9/4/2008

Henry Ford once said you could get get a Model "T" in any color you wanted as long as it was black.

The same has pretty much held true for PC's. Most were black with a bit of grey trim. And no curves. Understandable because they're such a mainstay of the conservative office environment and never clash with your decor at home.

But PC manufacturers are starting to add some color and curves to new machines. I just read an article on MSBNC.com by writer Suzanne Choney and she says companies are letting their designers loose.

She also writes laptops are becoming more and more the choice for consumers simply because in today's wireless world, they want to take their computer with them almost everywhere they go.

And more and more machines have wide-screen displays, Blu-Ray capable DVD Players and very powerful processors.

The best part? Prices are better than ever.

So when you start thinking about buying a new computer, think color and curves along with bells and whistles.

Cool.
