The popularity of social websites like Facebook and Twitteris in a word, soaring. So writes Brian Kraemer on
ChannelWeb.
Kraemer notes that while the demographic of users still skews young, it's the 55+ group that's embracing social media more and more. Up over a 100% from a year ago.
Why? I think that the perception of "mature" Americans as not being computer savvy is wrong. I've thought so for years.
Facebook allows families spread out around the country to share stories and pictures, and as one of the staff here at Video Professor told me, allows her to have a class reunion every day.
As for Twitter, it's amazing what one can share in 140 characters or less. Not-so amazing is the millions who flock to it each day. Tweet Tweet!
