Have you seen the hit movie
"Paranormal Activity" yet? I haven't but I'm going to. Not as much for the movie, but admiration of a spectacular example of ROI aka "Return on Investment."
The movie has made over $60 million dollars in limited release. What's truly amazing is how much it cost to make.
$15,000. Blair Witch Project 2.0.
Paramount Pictures has taken over distribution of the film, but the initial marketing effort was purely viral via Facebook, Twitter and other social media "pipelines." More proof of the power of social media in case you were wondering.
Word is the movie is great, scary as heck and all shot with home-type video cameras and an unknown cast. Word about the movie spread like wildfire via Web 2.0.
When you make $60 million on an investment of $15,000 maybe the folks in Washington DC should go see it.
They might learn something!
