Golf Tournament for Children's Hospital

What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS The Fourth Annual Ali Meyer Foundation golf tournament will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008, at Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. with a four-person scramble. All proceeds are donated to The Children's Hospital of Denver to provide rehabilitation equipment for children. Last year, the foundation raised a record $17,500 for the hospital. The non-profit Ali Meyer Foundation was established by Jefferson County residents Dennis and Valerie Meyer in memory of their daughter, Ali, who died in late 2002 after being struck by a drunk driver. The foundation raises money to help disadvantaged children who need rehabilitation equipment following accidents. It also works with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. The tournament is looking for players, corporate sponsors, donation of items for the silent auction and for volunteers to help.
