I was bundled up, surrounded by a world of white. The wind bit my cheeks, and the snow blinded my sight. I struggled through the treacherous snow, well past my knees. My pants were soaked already, and I had only braved the harsh climate for three minutes. I shivered, the snow caught in my hair falling onto my eyelashes. Alas! I had made it. My destination- the mailbox. I reached inside, anticipating my find, yet I was found to be deceived. My hand immerged, covered in cold, wet snow. I trugded back, wondering if I had made a mistake. Had the Postal Service failed to uphold their motto? But I looked back, and was reminded of what was upon us- two feet of snow, and drifts taller than me surrounded our snowed-in house. I shrugged, and only thought of what tomorrow might bring.
