Today we live in a world where it doesn't matter how much we destroy something, just as long as we get a considerable amount of wealth from it. We drill holes in the homes of hundreds of animals so we can get oil to run our desecrating cars. We burn coal like it's going out of style, which it is, and we throw waste in the ocean where water species are becoming extinct. We live in a world where recycling is too expensive and takes too much time, so we choose to let our planet rot a little more everyday just for an extra five minutes of tv.
But the thing that gets me is with out earth, with out all of it's natural resources and supplies, we wouldn't have tv, we wouldn't have pop cans and plastic bags and DVD's. Everything we have and use comes from the earth, the place we thrive and prosper from. So if we don't take care of it, then how are we going to survive a hundred years down the line when half the worlds species are extinct, there's no more room for trash and global warming is in full swing?
We MUST take action now before it's too late! The human race has unfortunately greatly contributed to the distruction of many animal species in order to build our homes and offices, so we can drive our fancy cars and use a pop can once. It almost seems as if we are trying to ruin our own species as well. The future is in our hands..... the question is what are we going to do with it?
