Didn't I tell you I had great kids?

My children are nearly 14 and 18. Carly is a the younger one and will be going into 8th grade this next schoolyear. Christine will be a senior this year also. I have been truly blessed as they are both REALLY GREAT kids.

Both have maintained a 4.0 GPA; both play sports, and both do community service projects because they enjoy it, not because they feel they have to. Here is a brief bio of them:

Carly - DOB: 8-20-93; plays softball, volleyball, and basketball. Basketball is her favorite. Her team was undeated this last year (as a 7th grader). She volunteers her time at the library. She has played in sports since she was in kindergarten. She has been involved also in the school yearbook and other clubs and activities. Basketball is her favorite sport. She is always playing outside with her sister, Christine.

Christine - DOB: 9-2-89; plays volleyball and basketball. She has been on the team as a varsity player since her freshman year for basketball. She is 5'11" and is a superb player. She made the sports page of our local paper several times this last school year. She was chosen as outstanding female junior by her teachers. She was also chosen as outstanding math and science student by those teachers respectively. As a result, she was given a $1000 scholarship to the Colorado School of Mines, if she chooses to go there. This was the first time ever that a junior was given this distinction. Usually, only senior students are given this award. Christine is also involved in many school activities and clubs. She volunteers her time at the local hospital and other non-profit organizations (Care and Share, Goodwill, etc.).

Didn't I tell you I have great kids!?? My hardship is that I cannot financially afford to give them wonderful things like this camp. They love Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets. A few years back, we were at a mall in the Denver area sitting on a bench. Christine knew all of the Nuggets (players) from watching them on TV. She spotted a player by the name of Chris Anderson. She was on cloud nine when she saw him. I finally got the nerve to call him over and he was gracious enough to come over and say hello to Christine. It will be a moment she will never forget.

I wish I can afford to give them the best education, the best things in life, and everything in this world. Since I cannot, I know that this camp would bring much joy to their lives. We took them to a Nuggets game during the time they made the playoffs (a few of years ago). I charged this on a credit card and am still paying for it to this day. It is something I do not regret doing since they do well academically and are great at home. Since their birthdays are coming up, this camp would be the greatest surprise present ever!

I am not asking for pity, just a chance for them to do something great and to meet the greatest player in basketball history, Carmelo Anthony.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

P.S. I tried to load pictures but since I have old school internet service, it would not let me.
