Children's play area removed from Colorado Mills?
Contributed by: Katherine Jerome on 5/22/2008

Why was the children's play area removed from Colorado Mills? Located just outside of Kiddie Kandids and Carter's, it was a great place for Mom's and kids to socialize and play.

The play area was safe, interactive and busy. With shops moving in and out of the mall constantly, I simply don't understand this decision. Young families need and want this environment inside a west side mall.

There's always the pesky question of liability these days, but from a financial standpoint it makes sense to keep it. With various shopping experiences available, parents will choose malls with these types of facilities available to them, especially during times of inclement weather.

I bet there is a financial or liability reason behind the decision to remove it.
