O'Dell endorses Wiechman

Now that I have withdrawn from the race for Lakewood
mayor, I would like to endorse a candidate for Lakewood
city council that shares my values of collaboration,
independence and the need to involve citizens more in the
governing process.

I support David Wiechman for Lakewood city council Ward
4. I had the opportunity of working with Wiechman at
Citizens for Lakewood's Future (for which he was President
for five years). I came to appreciate Dave's ability to
work with people of all political stripes. I especially
appreciate the fact that he refuses to join either
the "establishment" or "opposition" camps who are
constantly battling for political control of Lakewood.

Wiechman is an independent-minded leader who listens to
all people, incorporates the best ideas from each and
seeks to foster compromises that are the best for the
people of Lakewood. It is important there be someone on
city council who represents that silent majority of Ward 4
voters who just want what's best for Lakewood. David
Wiechman is just what Lakewood and Ward 4 needs.
