There have been some recent stories questioning where the
candidates for Lakewood mayor and city council have been
getting their campaign donations. There is one candidate
has been posting his campaign finances on his website for
the PAST SIX MONTHS - David Wiechman, candidate for
Lakewood City Council Ward 4
Wiechman believes in accountability and transparency in
government, but unlike most candidates,he doesn't
just talk about it, he practices it. When he had the
opportunity to demonstrate transparency, i.e., in how he
runs his own political campaign, he opened up his campaign
finances to the people, including his opponents.
If you check out his website, you will see that he is getting his
support from the people of the Ward he hopes to represent.
In this day and age, how many candidates can say that?

Candidate's campaign finances are public information and anyone can request to look at the information from city hall. I would encourage folks to take a look at the finances in order to understand how wisely the funds were spent. My campaign was run very efficiently and effectively. The same way I intend this city to run its finances.
