Vitamin C Can Be Dangerous To Kids

Imagine your child playing Frisbee in front of a church. The overzealous girl tosses the Frisbee way up in the air and it lands on the church roof. The eager young boy, who has a cold, climbs up and gets the Frisbee and is hailed down by the police, searched, and charged with trespass on private property and upon searching his pockets is charged withpossession (of Vitamin C). Imagine further, that on July 15th the County of Lakewood will have a trial for the young boy, with subpoenaed witnesses and everything who states yes he did climb the roof to get a Frisbee and yes his parents instructed him to take Vitamin C periodically to help with the cold. Sadly, as a 14 year old he doesn't have a job so he can't afford an attorney and will have to represent himself against the District Attorney and sequestered witnesses. Does this sort of thing encourage kids to hate public officials? I think so. What happened to the old-fashion police officers who would help get a kitten out of a tree or actually assist the boy in getting the Frisbee off the roof? Is society at the point where you have to carry a permission slip from your parent saying it was your parents' idea that you take the Vitamin C to help with the cold? I want the City of Lakewood to realize they are not only harassing the youth in this County but damaging these kids opinions of law enforcement officials.

It's hard to believe that there isn't another side to this story. Where and when will this trial be held. I presume you mean City of Lakewood...You said County of Lakewood towards the middle of the story. You can still edit the story. But I'd like to visit the proceedings if they allow members of the public to attend.
