Sorry, Vic, I just wanted to get out of the rain
Contributed by: Robert White on 7/24/2007

Hi Dot:

I'm a dude thinking about going to a movie tomorrow at Belmar. But I just read on the computer that they are forecasting rain in the middle of the afternoon. If I do go, I'll be getting out around 3 PM. When the shows over I'll be leaving and heading north toward Alameda.

Now supposed I get to the corner and its starts to pour. Would it be okay if I went into the Victoria Secret store until the rain was over? And what would I say to the clerk? Could I just ask her for an application and fill it out just to kill some time and keep out of the rain? Or do I tell her my dog has a bad back and I'm looking for a corset for her?
Oh, and by the way, is that store still in business?

I think they sell raincoats there, but probably mostly women's raincoats.

Hmmm, if such as occasion arises, I would go for the excuse, "I'm just looking for a gift." No need to say who it's for (I'd leave your dog out of it). As far as I know, that store is still open. But you could just play it safe and bring an umbrella. :) What movie are you going to see?
