Belmar dentist to offer free dental screening
Contributed by: Bradley Snyder on 9/13/2007

Dr. Adam McVeigh will host a free open house on October 11 from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. for people who may have concerns about their dental health.

McVeigh, who has dubbed his practice Belmar Smiles, says the open house will provide folks an opportunity to "ask all the questions they've been saving up about their teeth and gums - without any obligation to begin a treatment plan. There is no obligation whatsoever," he says.

The open house will also showcase options for straightening crooked teeth, including "invisible" braces such as the popular Invisalign brand. The American Association of Orthodontics estimates that over one million adults in the U.S. and Canada are currently undergoing orthodontic treatment.

"Braces are not just about looking good," McVeigh explains. "Crowded teeth and bad bites can contribute to far more serious dental problems such as tooth decay, gum disease and even tooth loss. Straightening teeth can not only improve your appearance, it can improve your health."

Space is limited for the free, one-day event, and appointments must be scheduled in advance. Invisalign representatives will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. Belmar Smiles is located at 325 South Teller Street in Belmar, directly above P.F. Chang's and Coldwater Creek Spa. Call (303) 935-3574 to schedule a screening.
