Schneider Tune Up & Electric celebrates 40 years

In June of 1968, Mike and Vicki Schneider of Lakewood started with a vacant lot, and literally built their tune up and auto repair business from the ground up. Their eldest son, Eric, a toddler when his father opened the bays of Schneider Tune Up, joined the family business part time at the age of 15 when he was completing high school. Eric worked at Schneider's part time until he graduated. Eric is now managing the business, as "Dad" steps in the background more and more.

In 1968, when Schneider Tune up was built, Jerry Roth Chevrolet and Johnny Haas Lincoln Mercury were close business neighbors as well as A & B Bowling Supply, Hess Jewelers, Dolly Madison Ice Cream, Lakewood Camera, Hested's Department Store, Rocky Mountain National Bank and The Copper Kettle Restraunt. Sadly, they are all gone.

Schneider Tune Up, a small Mom and Pop(and Son !) shop has stood the test of time offering the same quality work for 40 years from oil changes, tune ups, air condition repair, alternators, batteries.
