Don’t spend money to make money
Contributed by: Amy Nofziger on 4/18/2008

If you have been looking for an online job, you no doubt have seen the eye catching graphics and hypnotizing words that fraudsters try to entice us with;

Here are some things to consider

when looking for online work:

· Many scammers are looking to score information so they can dip their greedy fingers into your bank accounts;

· They want you to pay them first, for example $49.99. Now think about it, if they scammed about 1000 people to buy their scam, they would make about $49,990.00;

· Do not give personal bank account, PayPal account, or credit card numbers to anyone online unless you have verified them as a reputable business;

· Do not forward, transfer, or "wire" money to an employer or person, do not transfer money and retain a portion for payment;

· Be wary of extravagant claims about performance or earnings potential. Get all promises in writing and review them carefully before making a payment or signing a contract;

· Never do business with someone who posts an ad with misspellings and grammatical errors.
