Contributed by: Jeffco Public Schools on 1/15/2008

Jeffco preschool registration for fall 2008 begins Jan. 15. Jeffco Public Schools offers a tuition-based preschool program for all children aged 3 or 4 at 34 different sites throughout the district. Children may attend preschool when they turn three on or before Oct. 1 of the year they enter preschool.

Preschool is offered 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week. The non-refundable registration fee is $60 per student or $85 per family. Starting this fall, the full-day monthly tuition rate will increase 6 percent from $621 to $658. The full tuition schedule with revised rates for 2008-09 is available on the Jeffco Web site at http://jeffcoweb.jeffco.k12.co.us/communications/preschool.html.

All programs are licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services and meet the Colorado Department of Education Quality Standards for Early Childhood Care and Education Services.

To locate a preschool near you, call the district's school boundaries office at 303-982-2339, or visit the district's Web site at http://jeffcoweb.jeffco.k12.co.us/property/.

To register for preschool, parents should bring a birth certificate and proof of immunizations and address. Students must be immunized in accordance with the Colorado Immunization Law, which requires DTP/Td, polio, measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox and Hepatitis B vaccinations.
