Spend Valentine's Day with the "Kitchen Goddess"
Contributed by: Lakewood Community Arts, Music & Events on 2/5/2007

The City of Lakewood invites the public to drop by during Valentine's Day week at the Artisan Showcase in the Lakewood Cultural Center and the 20th Century Emporium at Lakewood's Heritage Center.

This year's Valentine's Day Sale offers 10% OFF marked prices at BOTH stores.

While visiting the Cultural Center be sure to purchase
a large assortment of fun and unusual cookbooks specially ordered in conjunction with the Center's latest exhibit:
The Kitchen Goddess---a 60-piece juried exhibit presented by the Women's Caucus for Art, Colorado Chapter.

The one-of-a-kind exhibit features several works under the theme of the mid-20th century modern housewife or "Kitchen Goddess." The North Gallery features a "Kitchen" area that pays homage to the 1950s style featuring artistically customized kitchen items, foods and appliances either made of fabric or covered in fabric. The show runs through March 23 at the Lakewood Cultural Center North and Mezzanine galleries.
