JUC Live! presents an afternoon performance by The Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, featuring chamber music from the 17th and 18th centuries in an intimate candlelit setting. JUC offers a fabulous setting for live music of this genre, and The Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado is really a marvelous ensemble. This event includes music by Telemann, Handel, Stradella, and Castello.
The Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado is a professional Denver-based ensemble now in its third concert season. The group is dedicated to sharing with audiences the unexpected riches of music from the 17th and 18th centuries through live performance.
At the heart of its musical mission is the joy and excitement of live music-making, with performances characterized by passionate virtuosity and bold improvisation. Led by Frank Nowell and Cynthia Freivogel and performing on period instruments, the orchestra has quickly garnered both critical and audience acclaim in its first two seasons.

- Ranking of BCOC among the finest Baroque orchestras in America.
- Employment and development via our Apprentice Program, of the most promising local musicians transitioning to Baroque instruments. Our aim is tofoster a growing talent base benefiting BCOC, and help support an increasingly vibrant Baroque chamber music environment.
- A thriving youth outreach program bringing BCOC players together with selected young musicians and young audiences for the musical benefit of all.
