Come hear seven new artists, as well as Swallow Hill favorite, the
Christy, Sandy, and
Stan Trio
, on Thursday evening, March 13, at 6:30PM in the Daniels Music Hall at Swallow Hill Music Association, 71 E. Yale Street, Denver. This concert is the culmination of eleven weeks of work by Christy Wessler's Captivating Your Audience class at Swallow Hill.
No karaoke for this group! Each vocalist will sing lead on three songs, accompanied by other members of the group on guitar, piano, flute, and/or back-up harmonies. This concert is FREE and open to the public, though instructor Wessler was quoted as saying "I'd charge for this concert, it's that good!"
Hear old Rock tunes like
California Dreaming
,
Oh Darling
, and
Lyin' Eyes
alongside Country songs like
Where The Blacktop Ends
and
I Hope You'll Dance
, as well as Folk songs, written by Pete Seeger, the Youngbloods, The Wailin' Jennys, and many others, all with sweet harmonies. Featured performers are Bridget Collier, Tracy Delaney, Eric Stainbrook, Ken Cleveland, Sondra Singer, Pam Brown, and Sandra Erwin. Punch and cookies, as well as a Meet the Artists mingle will follow the concert.
