Fire Muster sparks family fun
Contributed by: YourHub.com on 6/16/2008

The shining sun made the day fittingly warm as the West Metro Fire Rescue Family Fire Muster heated up June 14 at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood.

The 14th annual event was designed not only to be fun, but also educational. More than 13 hands-on events were aimed at teaching children about safety. Activities like Dial 9-1-1 showed them how to call for help in the case of a real emergency and the Teddy Bear Clinic used cuddly stuffed animals as patients for basic First Aid. Tools Not Toys taught children the difference between tools for parents (like matches and lighters) and toys for kids.

Check out some photos from the Fire Muster festivities.
