Flipping For Buffalo Bill Days
Contributed by: Ed Dorsey on 6/27/2008

Golden firefighters will be showcasing the new firehouse and their cooking skills on Saturday morning, July 26th as they once again host the pancake breakfast before the Buffalo Bill Days parade. The all-you-can eat breakfast featuring pancakes, bacon, juice and coffee begins at 6AM and runs until 10AM. The new firehouse was finished in May of this year and occupies the same lot on 10th Street that the previous firehouse did. It is a wonderful, handsome, classic-looking building that looks like it has been there for fifty years yet utilizes all of the latest efficient building techniques and contains many state-of-the-art safety and technological advances. So, if you want to kill two birds with one stone, come fill your self up with good food before the parade and take a good look at the new home of the Golden firefighters. The spiffed-up fire trucks will be on display outside for viewing, so do take some time to check them out. The cost of the 'grub' is only $5 per adult and $3 for kids under 12.

Goldenites are very proud of their mostly all-volunteer fire department and we urge you to support them by bringing your entire family to breakfast with them. Later, you can cheer them on as they participate as part of the color guard that leads the parade. It's all part of a fun-filled weekend in Golden, July 25th-27th during the annual Buffalo Bill Days celebration.
