Pool celebration
Contributed by: SM Merchant on 7/1/2007

Rick Crandall's Breakfast Club, KEZW 1430 am and Easter Seals Colorado are having a pool party, Friday July 6, 2007, 7 a.m.-4 p.m., and everyone's invited! Have you wondered about the nondescript building on the north side of Alameda, just east of Harlan Street in Lakewood? The building at 5755 West Alameda Avenue looks like an indoor swimming pool, but you can't be sure.

About six years ago, I stopped in and discovered one of Lakewood's treasures, and life hasn't been the same since. My 84-year-old mother and I have been enjoying Aqua Aerobics there ever since. The pool is different from other swimming pools; the water is warm -- between 92-94 degrees -- and it has no chlorine. They use hydrogen peroxide instead! As a result of that first visit, I have made a lasting commitment to my health and many good friends.

This Friday you are invited to try the pool for free. Come to a class, 7 a.m.-Aqua Aerobics, 8 a.m.-Muscle Conditioning or 9:15 a.m.-Cardio Fit. The pool also offers open pool times and Basic Arthritis and Arthritis Plus classes. Come and meet Rick Crandall as he broadcasts live from 7-10 a.m. from the pool deck area. See you there!
