Wieght loss hypnosis is the new trend
Contributed by: Bob Hudson on 10/3/2007

Here we go again. The weight gain season is at our doorsteps.

The holidays are quickly approaching and the Halloween candy is already in the stores. Next comes the pies, cookies, cakes, treats and a list of yummy goodies too long to even contemplate without gaining weight. Just thinking about it can literally raise your blood pressure. Yikes!

Well meaning office coworkers start bringing in all kinds of calorie intensive snacks and if you have kids the candy is everywhere! Sugar and carbs become impossible to avoid ... and resist.

Year after year we take up the same battle. Over and over again. "I'll only have a taste." "One bite can't hurt me." "I'll be good tomorrow." Then, before you can even say Jenny Craig, your clothes are a little tighter. Maybe you notice your ring doesn't fit and the little signs creep up without warning. Pretty soon you're getting undressed for bed with the lights off and taking a shower without glancing in the mirror. The nightmare of weight gain takes over your entire life and you make yourself miserable trying to be "good" only to end up fighting a hopeless cause.

Weight gain isn't just about looking good either. It has some serious ramifications as well. Diabetes is one of the top killers in America now and for most of us it's a disease that can simply be avoided by eating wisely and keeping our weight down. Weight gain is often the culprit behind strokes, heart attacks and a host of other ailments. "But that Krispy Kreme looks SO good!" As your Mom always said "Looks can be deceiving."

Here's something else that can scare the donuts off you. America is experiencing an epidemic of obesity that has never been seen in the history of Earth! Children who were never at risk are contracting diabetes. Clothing manufacturers have increased the actual sizes of clothes while using the same number sizes. Car seats are larger. Some airlines are charging extra for overweight passengers. Our population is bursting at the seams and, tragically, we're just simply accepting it as the norm.

OK. Time for some GOOD news.
There's a lot of help out there. We have programs and diets at the touch of a finger anytime we want to truly address our individual concerns. Once we've gotten past the denial and the empty promises to ourselves to actually do something there truly are good paths to take.

Many of the diet programs (Atkins, South Beach, Body For Life ... to name a few) are wonderful programs that really work - IF you follow them to the letter. That's often easier said than done. Well then, it's time for some more good news. There's even help to do that!

Hypnosis for weight loss is becoming more and more popular with every segment of society. Stars use it. Athletes use it. Even the devout religious use it. Why? Because it works and there are no side effects, homework or tedious food diaries involved. It's a lot like restarting your computer after it freezes.

Hypnosis is a very simple concept.
It's a medical tool that's been used effectively worldwide for many years and accepted by the medical and psychiatric communities as an extraordinarily useful way to help people reprogram bad habits and eliminate destructive behaviors. Hypnosis helps a person enlist the aid of their very powerful subconscious mind to boost their willpower and help them make more wholesome (and healthy) choices when faced with tempting foods such as candies, sweets and harmful carbohydrates like French Fries.

In essence, the body doesn't need processed and refined sugars and carbohydrates. The sugars and carbs we actually need are plentiful in a healthy, natural diet such as our grandparents ate. We've just been programmed by our recent culture (TV, fast food chains, advertising and other influences) to crave these tasty delights. We've forgotten that French Fries and Frosty's used to be rare treats. Instead we consume these fattening foods as part of our everyday diets. Our subconscious minds accept these cravings without question and constantly remind us that donuts taste good. I want donuts. Eat donuts. It's like having a bad videotape stuck in your VCR.

You can get that bad tape out of your subconscious VCR through hypnosis. Of course you'll still like carrot cake and deep fried potatoes and pizza and everything else you've come to accept as part of your diet but after a couple sessions of hypnotherapy you'll have the boosted willpower you need to push them aside and choose foods more for fuel than for pleasure. And it's YOUR willpower, not someone else's. The hypnotherapist simply helps you with the process of communicating your needs to your Command Center.

In my hypnotherapy practice I use the same techniques all good hypnotherapists use. We discuss the needs of the client and discern if that person is eating out of an emotional response to stress, anxiety or some other stimulus. Then we tailor the hypnosis sessions to address that client's personal issues with food. Once the client understands how emotions play a role in eating, they're able to recognize the source of the problem and stick with their diet plan with ease. Pounds drop away like magic! Without struggling you simply become your own best diet and fitness coach!

So if your waistline is bursting out past your too tight pants, your ring doesn't fit and you've become disgusted but you can't stick to a diet, find a good hypnotherapist and end the roller coaster ride once and for all! The solution is there.

Remember: Food is only fuel and healthy foods can taste just as good as bad ones do! As the author says on his website: "We create our lives with the choices we make." You can make the right choices.
