Psst! Have you heard this season's best-kept Christmas Tree hunting tip? Easter Seals Colorado is opening up their 200-acre Rocky Mountain Village property to Christmas Tree hunters.
"We need to thin our property of trees and there are some beautiful ones at our Rocky Mountain Village," explained
Shirley Barenberg
, vice president for development with Easter Seals Colorado.
The camp, located just south of I-70 at the Empire exit, is open to tree hunters from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, Dec. 1st to Dec. 23rd. Weekend tree hunting can be done too, but only by appointment.
A $10 donation to Easter Seals Colorado is suggested, and Christmas Tree hunters are encouraged to bring their own saws.
Call 720-234-9225, or go to www.eastersealscolorado.org, for more information or to make a weekend appointment.
About Easter Seals Colorado and Rocky Mountain Village
Regarded as one of the top Easter Seals camps in the country, Rocky Mountain Village is fully accessible and used by more than 800 children and adults with disabilities for summer camp sessions. The remainder of the year, campers enjoy respite weekends, providing a brief get-away while giving their families a rest from constant care giving.
Established in 1926, Easter Seals Colorado is one of the oldest non-profits in the state. Easter Seals Colorado is unique because it serves people of all ages with all types of disabilities. Programs include the warm water therapy pool, employment services, AgrAbility serving those in rural areas, community transit assessments, camping/recreations programs, hearing assistance, respite care, and the day program for people who have suffered strokes.
