Hundreds of Warm, Cute Bunnies Seek Loving Homes
Great Harvest kicks off spring with their popular Honey Bunnies!
Lakewood, Colo., March 23, 2007 - Springtime is making a prolific debut at Great Harvest Bread Co. this year. Hundreds of warm, whole wheat Honey Bunnies are hopping onto the baker's racks seeking loving homes where they'll adorn Easter dinner tables and nestle into baskets. These fresh, cute critters are a unique and healthy addition to an Easter celebration.
The kneaders and bakers of Great Harvest create Honey Bunnies using their signature whole grain Honey Whole Wheat Bread recipe. They are made from only five simple ingredients without additives, preservatives or dough conditioners. It's just freshly ground whole wheat flour, yeast, water, salt and honey.
"This is a Great Harvest tradition we look forward to every spring," says owner
Russ Steinhaus
. "The expressions on children's faces are priceless, and it's fun to hear about all the ways our customers use the Honey Bunnies as table centerpieces, as veggie dip bowls, or as a creative addition to an Easter basket. To us, this product signifies spring and fun family gatherings."
According to Steinhaus, no two bunnies are quite the same. The artisans at Great Harvest will handcraft each bunny during the week before Easter. It takes time, care and creativity.
The Honey Bunnies aren't the only time that healthy whole grains take the limelight. Each day bakers freshly grind premium Montana wheat berries into whole wheat flour. The fresh ground, whole wheat flour is used to bake breads, scones, cookies, and other sweet treats.
Great Harvest's made-from-scratch whole grain breads provide excellent sources of complex carbohydrates, have no fat or cholesterol, and have been proven to be stars in weight control and disease prevention. USDA health guidelines encourage Americans to eat three servings of whole grains every day.
To adopt a Honey Bunny for your Easter celebration, be sure to hop by your local Great Harvest at 11068 West Jewell Ave. (on the SW corner of Kipling and Jewell). Or call 716-0905 to place a phone order.
