West Metro Fire Rescue Collects Food and New Toys for Jeffco Action Center

Beginning November 1 through December 5 West Metro Fire Rescue will be collecting nonperishable food and new toys for the Jeffco Action Center to help people in our community.

We've asked the community to bring NONPERISHABLE food and UNWRAPPED gifts to West Metro Fire Stations.

The Jeffco Action Center helps those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by providing assistance through a food bank and other services, including a 20-bed homeless shelter, clothing bank, medical assistance, tenant/landlord counseling and personal care items.

The Jeffco Action Center distributes a ton of food to needy people in Jefferson County each day. All types of NON PERISHABLE food are accepted, but they are particularly in need of the following:

Peanut Butter
Macaroni and Cheese
Soup
Tuna

Unwrapped toys and gifts that are being requested this year are:

Dolls
Large cars and trucks
Preteen jewelry
Games
Legos
Skateboards
Clock Radios
Make-up

If you have questions, please contact West Metro Fire Rescue's Community Outreach Division, 303-989-4307. Thanks for your support of this program.
