Wow, almost 4 years have passed since meeting
SweetArt
on the internet. It seems as though we met yesterday... We talked numerous times over the phone and then finally met for lunch during the work week. Wow, I walked in and saw the man of my dreams. He stood and reached out for my hand and I melted with his touch. Lunch, a goodbye kiss and I knew I would share the rest of my life with him. (I knew this from just talking to him on the phone ... I even told him I would be his birthday present on his birthday .. but he insisted on meeting in person first.)
Just a couple of days later, it was his birthday and we continued to share every weekend from that moment forward. We both take our birthdays off and spend them together and spoil each other each year. We went on the first of numerous hikes that I now brag about. He has taken me to the top of the world and back on these hikes including a 14er. The following week was my birthday and that is when he gave me his heart. He started with a dozen yellow roses and blue nastursiums in a cobalt blue vase.
We then began a treasure hunt with numerous red envelopes which inside revealed a secret treasure with tips on how to find that secret treasure. We started the evening and I found my way through the hunt to the restaurant. A FABULOUS restaurant! Then once we arrived inside the resaurant I saw another dozen yellow roses in another cobalt blue vase. He had taken another dozen to the restaurant before picking me up! We were then seated, and at our table was another treasure hunt -- a red envelope was with a single yellow rose (which he had taken prior to picking me up for our date). Throughout dinner I felt like he was in tune with my every thought. I felt like I was living a fairy tale.I know everyone around us could tell how very much in love we were falling as we are the couple that drives people crazy when they see how happy we are together.
We then arrived at our final destination, and he had another yellow rose there with the final red envelope. In that envelope he stated that the key to his golden heart would be found. Wow, this was it, I had to seek out the clue he had in the envelope and find this treasure. I searched and searched and found a beautifully wrapped gift. The gift was a beautiful gold heart and diamond necklace, and with it he gave me the key to his golden heart. WOW! Was I dreaming? I didn't think men actually knew how to be this romantic. He has stolen my heart forever, thus making this the perfect opportunity to continue to win his over.
SweetArt has been through tough times with me with my daugher's husband serving a year in Baghdad. As this was very difficult emotionally for my daughter and me, and he was right there by our side.
Financially we have gone through struggles, and we know we can get through anything as long as we have each other. I saved and worked harder than I had ever worked before to take SweetArt on a 2 week long trip to Italy, as neither one ever been on a trip like that before. He says these were the best 2 weeks of his life...
WOW.. .It felt wonderful to give him something he enjoyed so much! We appreciate the "simple things in life" and that is the philosophy we will continue to live by. We don't give each other gifts, but instead give something to the other that we know they want. Thus making this "Romantic Getaway" the perfect gift for SweetArt .
Through sickness and health is a vow we will take this year together, however, we have already had the opportunity to share it with each other. SweetArt has been by my side when I had a triple surgery and had a tough recovery the first year we met. He never left the hospital! He helped me heal and made sure I had everything I needed and all the goodies to make me feel better, too. He will be going into surgery on February 8th and I will be right by his side. I will treat him with his favorite meals and special little simple pleasures. I look forward to helping him and will be by his side through any difficulties he faces now or in the future, just as I know he would be for me.
We will be getting married this year and I know he has something incredible planned, and I cannot even imagine how special that will be. However, to have this opportunity to show him that he means the world to me and to prove it to everyone reading this would be my dream for us this Valentines Day. Our wedding will be later this year. I truly am the luckiest woman! He purchased my wedding dress, and no shoes as we will be barefoot! For our wedding, it will be very simple on the beach in the USVI where we will be starting our new life together. He is buying us simple bands that will bind us and our love together, and he is buying 2 additional bands that will be bound together as he says we will be for the rest of our lifves. When we go to weddings, our gift to the couple is always a large bill torn in half stating on the card that in order to reap the rewards of the marriage, just like the bill, they must always be together.
I can't think of a better way to share our last Valentines Day (as singles) than this opportunity you have provided to me.
I love you, SweetArt, and thank you for always being my knight in shining armor and for choosing me to spend the rest of your life with. I will always be there for you to lovey ou and hold you through good times and bad. I look forward to our new challenges in the islands and love you more than you will ever know.
Thank you, Little Fun 1 Loves SweetArt Forever ....
PS: SweetArt actually had a special valentines gift already delivered to me... personalized m & m's with SA Loves LF1 Forever....WOW!!!
