It all started almost 8 years ago, on June 14, 2000. I had been throughseveral failed relationships and I went on a camping trip with my parents and my 7 year old son, Anthony, I was 28 at the time. Mike went on a seperate camping trip at the same time with a friend, he was 27 at the time and was going though a failed marriage of almost 10 years. So, we both drove 300 plus miles, meet at Lake McConaughay in Ogallala, Nebraska for the first time, only to find that we live 3 miles apart from each other in the little towns of Frederick and Firestone. This was the beginning of a fated relationship. During this trip, my family and I had jetski's and Mike had never been on one before so, I took him out on the lake, we hit it off and he was hooked on the jetski idea and wanted one of his own. We exchanged numbers and he went back home.My family and I were on a week long vacation and my jetski's engine siezed up before returning home. Knowing that I needed to replace my jetski and that you could get a better deal on a pair rather than a single, I called Mike with an offer, "Absolutely No strings Attached," he wanted a jetski and I needed one but already had a trailer. I suggested that we put our money together and purchase a pair of jetski's and then when we get them home, I would take my jetski off and he could have the 1 jetski and the trailer and do whatever he wanted at that point. Needless to say, we bought the jetski's but, they NEVER got seperated, we became a couple and moved in together a couple of months after that. We continued to take vacations together and that became our passion as a family. Lake Powell was our favorite place to go! Valentines Day 2002, after almost 2 years of dating, Mike proposed to me, I of course said YES! He said, "You pick the date, I want you to marry me at Lake Powell." I knew this was the man for me!!! We got married 3 years to the date that we met , on June 14, 2003 in Bullfrog, Utah, we were married in a beachside ceremony in swimsuit/shorts, and rode off into the sunset on the jetski'sand then honeymooned at Lake Powell for a week. When we returned home, we had a BIG reception party with all of our friends to celebrate. Then we moved into a new home together and 2 years after being married, we made our family complete with another son. When little Taylor came into our lives, our oldest son Anthony was 13 years old. Now here we are in 2008, almost 8 years after we first met and almost 5 years of being married and we are still in Love. I am Thankful for the journey I took in finding Mike, my best friend, my husband and the Love of my life. After the things we went through as individuals before meeting, I truly think that we deserve eachother and the happiness that we have brought to one another's life. This is what family's all about...
