Then & Now: Bear Creek Reservoir
Contributed by: Brendan Harrington on 6/10/2006

This "Then & Now" submission is a view of Mount Morrison from Carbon Mountain, overlooking Bear Valley.

The "Then" image was taken in November 1970. Our home is the white house in the lower left portion of the photo. The "Now" photo was taken in Novemer 2004, 34 years later, and shows the dramatic changes.

Obviously, Bear Creek Resevoir fills the valley now, and Carbon Mountain is home to the Homestead Golf Course (behind camera).

Submitted by Jarle and Vickie Oie, of unincorporated Jefferson County
