Tedi Thorne, Colorado Christian freshman, recently was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.

Thorne downed some of Division II's top golfers, including last season's 2005 RMAC Golfer of the Year, en-route to a first place finish at the Regis Invitational held Oct. 9 and 10.

As a freshman, Thorne became the first Colorado Christian University women's golfer to ever win an event.
During the week of Oct. 12, she finished with a score of 156, four strokes ahead of second place Cecilia Silfverskio of Regis University.

Thorne is from San Clemente, Calif.
