Lakewood man accepted into Mines honors program

Mark Fredric Rosa has been accepted into the Guy T. McBride Honors Program, which leads to a minor in Public Affairs for Engineers at Colorado School of Mines.

Mark was among fourty-three students selected for the program. Selection is based primarily on academic achievement, extracurricular and community activities, leadership potential, commitment to public service and communication skills. Mark graduated in 2006 from Lakewood Senior High School and is pursuing an undergraduate degree at Colorado School of Mines, majoring in Engineering Physics.

The Guy T. McBride, Jr. Honors Program at Colorado School of Mines is a 24 semester hour program of seminars and off campus activities culminating in a minor in Public Affairs. All students in the program must complete a practicum - an honors thesis, an internship or study abroad.

Mark Fredric Rosa is the son of the Rev. Dr. Melanie Rosa and Fredric D. Rosa of Lakewood, CO.
