An Eagle Scout soars

Tyler Conant, of Boy Scout Troop 377 and a freshman at Bear Creek High School, was officially induceted into the elete group of Eagle Scouts at a court of Honor Ceremony on May 5.

Among many projects Tyler accomplished was one which he and his peers are especially proud was to collect personel hygene articles, food items and items which might bouy moral.He collected more than 250 boxes and money to ship them to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In return, he received many letters and e-mails of appreciation and information as to conditions regarding the local civilian population.

Tyler is also a drummer. He and a number of his buddies have a band and enjoy the comradary and occasionaly play for small social events. Tyler is an exceptional kid.
