Applewood Kiwanis hold Mother's Day recognition

Kiwanis Club of Applewood celebrated Mother's day in advance at its May 5 regular breakfast meeting. Members wives were special guests and each was presented with an orchid corsage.

After the breakfast, two of the wives, Dorothy Alderman and Char Prall, were presented with Honorary Inductee Awards for their continuing support of Club functions. Dorothy was recognized for her five years of work in planning, preparing and serving the club's yearly Valentine's Day Breakfast at Shepherd of the Hills Church. Char Prall was named for her efforts in managing the clothing collection and displays at the Club's annual garage sale.

The Kiwanis Club of Applewood meets at 7 a.m each Tuesday morning at La Fonda de Acebo Restaurant in the Applewood Shopping Center.
