Contributed by: Jeffco Public Schools on 5/7/2008

Jeffco Public Schools will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 1:30 p.m May 16 for Creighton Middle School's new addition. The groundbreaking, open to the public, will take place at 75 Independence St. in Lakewood.

The $6 million Creighton Middle School addition completes the final phase of construction to replace the original 1962 school building. The new addition consists of administration, special education, music, auditoria, food preparation, and career and technical education spaces.

The project is being funded from bonds approved by voters in 2004.
