Lakewood police looking for forgery suspect

Detective Jay Norejko of the Lakewood Police Department is working a forgery case in which the suspect stole a female victim's purse in Denver and then cashed a check from her checkbook in Lakewood.

The suspect cashed a $300 check at Bank of the West at 215 S. Wadsworth Blvd. on June 11. The bank has released security footage of this transaction. Anyone with information about the suspect can call Detective Norejko at 303-987-7111.

After reading this story I canceaccount at Bank of the West. Why? If a thief can steal your checkbook and walk into a bank and cash a check without a teller checking an I.D. there is a problem. They are definately not looking out for you as a customer. The teller should be fired immediately.
