Hungry vandals hit local elementary school
Contributed by: Jeffco Public Schools on 7/3/2008

When Lakewood police arrived at Molholm Elementary, 6000 W. 9th Ave., Lakewood, late Tuesday night, they found a lot of broken windows and kitchen plates and frozen burritos scattered all over the cafeteria countertops, floors and hallways.

The school's alarm sounded at 11:19 p.m. July 1 and police arrived only 20 minutes later to find the burglars had already left.

The vandals broke out windows around the school's interior; in the cafeteria, main office and library. The school staff is still trying to determine if any school property was stolen.

Police say whoever broke in left hand and footprints and it looks like they were cut from the broken glass because of blood left around the school.

Police and Jeffco's security are asking neighbors to report any suspicious activity or information on this crime to Lakewood police dispatch at 303-987-7111.
