Incidents reported by Lakewood Police

MAN ALTERS PRESCRIPTION
Police were called to King Soopers, 1927 S Wadsworth Blvd., at 4:57 p.m. Nov. 24 on a report of prescription fraud. The pharmacist reported that a man had presented an altered prescription for Vicodin. The 22-year-old Lakewood man admitted to altering the prescription because he thought the doctor had made an error. He said his previous prescription was written for a different strength of Vicodin and said he thought changing it would be easier than calling the doctor. He was arrested on suspicion of prescription fraud and released on a summons.

It was discovered that the boy had several warrants and was listed as a missing person. He was arrested and lodged at Montview Detention Center.

COUPLE STEALS RENT MONEY
At 10:44 a.m. Nov. 22, an 18-year-old Lakewood woman called the police station to report a theft. She told police she had been allowing a couple from Nevada to stay with her and her boyfriend until they found a place to live. She said she woke up at 9 a.m. Nov. 22 and $450 in rent money was missing from her wallet, and she discovered the couple and all their stuff was gone. The woman went to confront the couple and found them at the bus station in downtown Denver about to catch a bus back to Nevada. The Lakewood woman and the 21-year-old Nevada woman began shoving each other and police were called. After attempting to stash the cash in a restroom toilet, the 19-year-old man from Nevada admitted to taking the money from his friend and was arrested on suspicion of theft. He was lodged at Jefferson County Jail.
