The Campaign To Elect Chris Radeff will host its first event in a series of fundraising events to be held at the Molly Brown Summer House, located at 2690 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood. On Saturday November 21, 2009 at 12:30 pm, an elegant afternoon ladies luncheon tea is scheduled to take place and will include a traditional luncheon tea menu. Luncheon will be followed by a short lecture by Mary Rose Shearer, Molly Brown Summer House owner, covering the history of this historic home and the surrounding area. Additionally, Ms. Kristy Thomas, former manager of the Tea Room at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, will give a short presentation on the origins and history of the various types of afternoon teas and the traditions that go with them.

Chris Radeff, Democratic candidate for the Colorado House District 22 Legislative seat, is very excited that her campaign will be working with Ms. Shearer in presenting a series of future campaign fundraising teas and other events at the Molly Brown Summer House.This unique landmark, located in the middle of House District 22, has been part of Ms. Shearer's family since 1928. Each month, beginning in January to the election in November 2010, the Campaign will host a different afternoon tea with a specialized theme and menu that will always include a presentation by Ms. Shearer of the history of the house and surrounding area. With the arrival of summer, other outdoor events will be scheduled that will utilize the beautiful gardens and terraces adjacent to the house.
