Colfax marathon needs volunteers
Contributed by: Elizabeth Silvi on 4/16/2007

The snow is finally melting in the Denver metro area and preparations are well underway in anticipation of the second annual Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon held Sunday, May 20.

As you know, the Colorado Colfax Marathon symbolizes a new spirit of regional cooperation as we seek to enhance a critical residential, transportation and commercial corridor. It also is a sporting event that helps to bring together the people and businesses in our community.

Our sponsors and volunteers play a critical role in uniting the Denver community to come out and support the marathon. We need your help! The Community Outreach Team is seeking bilingual volunteers to help facilitate translation efforts for our Hispanic community in the weeks leading up to the race and on race day.

If you speak fluent Spanish, we urge you to assist this worth-while cause. Additionally, please forward this information along and invite your employees and their families to participate as well!

We count on and value volunteers like you to make the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon successful. There are many opportunities to help out on race day. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and be honored guests at the volunteer appreciation party following the race.

To volunteer, or for more information about the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon, please contact Leslie at Leslie@coloradocolfaxmarathon.org or call 303-770-9600. You may also visit the event Web site at www.coloradocolfaxmarathon.org. We hope to see you on race day!
