Let us know what kind of equipment you would like to see installed at the traditional playground in Belmar Park during an open house event.
WHAT: Open House to discuss Belmar Park playground improvements
WHEN: 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 7
WHERE: Lobby of Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway
Belmar Park, at 801 S. Wadsworth Blvd., is known for its walking path around Kountze Lake and for bird watching. But in the northwest corner of the park, there is a traditional playground for children that needs updating. The city wants to hear from its residents about what kind of playground they would like to have for children at the park. The improvements will not include an expansion of the playground.
