Say it with a picture: Photo storytelling contest


Look at these three pictures. The subject matter, lighting and perspective are all different yet they all represent one word "Change".

The "E"Project of Lakewood, a not for profit art organization established in 2001,challenges you to communicate using your camera.

Ten words are:

  1. Entertainment
  2. Emotion
  3. Echoes
  4. Economy
  5. Embrace
  6. Elders
  7. Elegance
  8. Erosion
  9. Education
  10. Empty

Your challenge is to represent each of the words with a picture.

Ten words- Ten pictures.

You will have just over one month to create your images.

All images are to be 5x7 un-matted prints labeled on the back with your name and the word the image represents. There will be a $15 hanging fee for your first collection$5 for each additional (enter as many as you would like, each collection mustcontain all ten words without repeating any images).

Bring your entries to The West Colfax Event Center 9797 West Colfax Avenue Thursday June 11 between 2and 6 p.m. or call Deletta at 3030-717-1238 if you need to schedule an alternative drop off time.

This collection will be on display at The "E" Gallery from Thursday June 18th- Sunday August 16th. Prizes will be awarded in three categories Strongest Storyteller, Strongest technical imagery and People's Choice*.

*Everyonethat attends the opening night festivities Thursday June 18th 5:30-8p.m. will be able to vote, so invite everyone you know. Votes will be countedat 8 p.m. prizes awarded at 8:30.
