West Metro Fire Rescue is accepting applications from citizens interested in participating in West Metro's Citizen Fire Academy. This nine-week program is designed to give citizens an inside view of fire and emergency medical services. Through classroom participation, hands-on exercises and drill-ground activities, participants will get a taste of what's it's like to be an emergency responder.
West Metro Fire Rescue is planning a spring 2007 academy starting in March. Applications are being accepted for this spring academy and participants will be notified of the exact dates once they are established. The Citizen Fire Academy is free and open to residents 18 years and older.
