D'Evelyn swimmers score big

D'Evelyn Senior High finally has a boys swim team, this is their first year. The school has had a girls team since early on and has done quite well with them. Now it is the boys' turn and they are having a great season thus far. The school administrators were quite surprised at the number of boys that were interested in swimming. On March 21, they took part in a meet held at the Ridge Recreation Center. They competed against Ralston Valley and it looked like they were holding their own against them when I was leaving. The coach is still fine tuning the team and trying to find which event fits each swimmer best and when he gets that accomplished they will even be a formidable foe for more schools in and out of Jefferson County. I look forward to watching this team develop.
