The Homestead Men's Golf Club is hosting the second annual Introduction Golf Tournament on April 5. This tournament is open to all men 18 years or older, regardless if they have an established handicap or not, who wish to try their hand at tournament golf in a competitive but fun environment.
"The unique thing about this tournament is that in almost all cases a person has to be a member of a club and have an established handicap in order to compete", said HMGC board President
Jerry Mahoney. "Our board of directors recognized that there are many golfers that would like to test their ability but are not sure if they would enjoy competition enough to establish a handicap."
"The board also recognized that there are many golfers that assume that in order to join a league they would have to be a low handicapper. Not only is that not the case, but actually our member's span a large range of handicaps and this event allows average golfers to see they can fit in comfortably as well," he said
