Recycling locations in Lakewood

Looking for a place to bring your recycling? The following list of Lakewood's Waste Management sites, courtesy of Kathie Beard of the Office of the Mayor and City Manager of Lakewood, 303-987-7050. These bins are single-stream, which means there is no need to sort your items.

Single stream recycling acceptable materials:
• Flattened cardboard
• Magazines, other publications
• Office paper including post it notes, envelopes, books, no need to remove binders or staples
• Junk mail
• Phone books
• Paperboard like cereal boxes with the plastic insert pulled out
• Brown paper bags (no food)
• Newspapers
• Plastic bottles (rinsed out and allowed to dry)
• Glass bottles and jars (rinsed out and allowed to dry)
• Aluminum cans, aluminum foil and pie tins (rinsed out and allowed to dry)
• Steel cans (rinse out all liquid and food stuff and allow to dry)
• Empty aerosol cans
