The Aloha Spirit: Alive and well on Molokai

I read the article in travel talk about the Aloha Spirit and had to all my "two bits" about an often overlooked treasure of Hawaiian travel called
MOLOKAI
. The island has about 7,000 people, one elevator and
absolutely no traffic lights
!! There are 4 golf courses, hotels and condos as well as all the water-related tourist activities. It is less expensive to stay on Molokai and it is just a 2 hour ferry ride to Lahaina, Maui for the hustle and bustle of "tourist Hawaii."
The island has tours of coffee and macadamia nut plantations and the former leper colony (reached by air, hiking, or mules) which is real Hawaiiana.
We love the peace and quiet, the uncrowded beaches(we're often the only ones there), the local food (several restaurants) and shops, the stars that touch the horizon ,and watching the sun set over Oahu as the lights of Honolulu make their appearance. Truly a peaceful tropical paradise. (We have a condo there for rent, if interested.)
Molokai is really "Mo Bettah!"
