Editor's note: Voters will be electing three members to the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board of Directors on May 6. For more candidate profiles and information on the election,

. YourHub.com asked the candidates running to answer a questionnaire to get to know them better. Here's what candidate
Wayne G. Lyle
had to say:
My Name:
Wayne G. Lyle
My age:
61
My Family:
I am widowed. I have two children, a son who is single and lives in Denver and a daughter who is married and lives in St. Louis.
What I do:
I am an insurance broker. I work with a large number of insurance companies and represent my clients.
My favorite place in town to hang out:
Coors Field
My interests and hobbies:
Hiking, Camping, 4-wheeling, Railroading, Metal detecting.
My favorite thing to cook:
Chili
People who inspire me(and how):
My father. He showed me that anyone can do anythingthey want to. He told me just before he died that he had done everything he ever wanted to do in life. I am doing the same.
How have I contributed to the community:
I am a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. I have been a deputy for six years.
The biggest issues facing the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District now:
Properly addressing the fiscal responsibilities of the District to maintain the high quality of life in Ken-Caryl Ranch.
Why am I running:
I am candidate for the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan Board of Directors because I want to contribute my experience to my community. During my 24-year career in the restaurnt industry in senior management of large companies, I gained a vast amount of experience in proper budgeting and operating the companies to deliver the best to our customers and employees. I can do the same for Ken-Caryl Ranch. I feel we need a fresh approach to the fiscal responsibilities of our community. We need to establish a realistic budget to maintain our high quality of life, maintain our property properly, continue our many amenities without user fees, and reestablish our reserve fund which has been spent down to nothing. In spite of what we hear about TABOR, we have significantly more tax dollars for 2008 then we did in 2007. We just need to spend these dollars properly. I can do that.
