I have significant concerns that the "win at all costs" attitude I have seen from supporters of both sides of the A&B issue facing the Ken-Caryl voters in May. If we continue down this paththere will be fissures created in our neighborhood that we will not be able to bridge after the election. I have seen comments in e-mail's from supporters of both sides ofA&B issue that make me cringe. We need to remember we are all neighbors first, and we need to put politics second. When we first moved here, it struck my husband, Hugh, and I how close knit this community is. I would argue the small town feeling that exists here would be our most valuable asset, not our open space. This is a community that closes ranks and supports it's members when they are going through hard times. We need to remind those who are working so hard for both sides of A&B, their job is to provide information so we voters may make an informed choice. Not Another Tax Increase and Invest in Ken Caryl are issue committees who cannot endorse candidates for the MD board. We all need to remember we are models for the children in this unique and wonderful neighborhood and we need to behave accordingly.
